Amish Country

Yesterday we took the most beautiful drive up to Amish country. We went down these narrow windy roads lined with tall trees of all kinds. We found this tiny turn off called Covered Bridge Road and we decided to drive down it. We passed these two adorable little Amish kids working in their garden. Farther down the road we passed a friendly Amish man riding in his horse drawn buggy. It was really fun to see.

We stopped at this little store with Amish goods and we found this perfect little bonnet for Claire.

Outside they had jars of homemade jams and jellys.

Ann couldn't resist snapping a photo next to one of the buggies.  She tried to get in and ride away but then realized that the horse wasn't hooked up to it anymore.

Will took this great picture of Ann and I underneath this old bridge.

Tomorrow our trip is over.  We have had the most unbelieveable time.  President and Sister Summerhays have been awesome hosts and we have enjoyed getting to know alittle bit better what they do on a daily basis.  We miss them so much but being out here with them makes me realize just how important the work they are doing and just how perfect they are for this calling.  The missionaries love them and they love the missionaries so much.  We have heard story after story and have enjoyed every single one of them.  We will be sad to leave tomorrow but couldn't be more proud of our parents willingness to serve.

I have loved reading about your trip and looking at your wonderful pictures. Your words about Mom and Dad made me cry. We love them so much and can't wait until it's our turn to visit.
